Press Release for Holidays in Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to OIC Session from 21 March to 24 March 2022 is published by Press Information Department on 17 March 2022. These holidays are approved by Cabinet Divison under Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

This press release says that The Prime Minister has been pleased to declare local holidays on Monday. the 21st March. 2022 in the twin cities (Rawalpindi & Islamabad) and on Tuesday 22nd March 2022 in Rawalpindi on account of the 48th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) and Pakistan Day Parade (22 and 24 March 2022 have already been declared local holiday in Islamabad through a previous press release).

All Federal Ministries/Divisions, along with their Attached Departments, and other Organizations/Offices of the Federal Government located in the twin cities (Rawalpindi 8. Islamabad) shall also remain closed on Monday. the 21st March 2022 and Tuesday the 22nd March 2022.

All Schools Colleges Universities & other educational institutes in Rawalpindi & Islamabad will also be closed during these holidays.

The Federal Govt Employees will enjoy up to 9 holidays in March 2022 as 19 and 20 March is Weekend and then local holidays from 21 March to 24 March and then after One working day again weekend will start and therefore the people of Rawalpindi & Islamabad will enjoy up to 9 holidays.
