All about Punjab Govt Budget 2022-2023
Here you will get all information on Punjab Govt Budget 2022-2023. Punjab Govt has approved the annual budget and presented it in Punjab Assembly on 13 June 2022.
The provincial minister of Punjab Mr. Awais Leghari presented Punjab’s budget for the fiscal year 2022-23 of around Rs 3 trillion (3226 Billion).
Out of this 3226 Billion, 1712 billion is proposed for expenses of Punjab Govt.
For cheap flour, 200 billion is proposed for poor people. Now 10kg flour will be available in 490 rupees instead of 650 rupees.
142 billion is proposed for cheap daily use items, fertilizers, and other traveling services.
685 billion is proposed for Development Packages in Punjab. 40% will be for Social Sector, 24% for Infrastructure, 6% for the production sector, 2% for the services sector, and 28% for other special services.
35 Billion is proposed for Road Construction and their repair and maintenance.
6 billion are fixed for Jail and prisoners.
3 Billion for Safe City Authority.
125 billion are proposed for Sehat Card.
1 billion and 50 Crore are fixed for CM Laptop Scheme.
240 billion for South Punjab Development.
The minimum salary is increased from 20,000 to 25,000 for labor.

According to sources, no new tax will be imposed in the budget while existing special concessions and incentives will continue.
Rs56 billion for the education sector, Rs173 billion for the health sector, and 11.95bn will be given to the ‘Saaf Pani’ project. Punjab has allocated Rs6.2 billion for governance and IT, Rs500 million for labor and HR development, Rs6.3 billion for transport, and Rs1.8 billion for emergency service (1122), according to official documents.
