Islamabad Police hire students to check the 30,000 written test papers of the candidates who appeared in the test of Constable, held on December 31 at Jinnah Stadium in Sports Complex.
The written test was scheduled on 31 December at Jinnah Stadium and it has gone viral when the picture of the stadium went on social media. Around 30,000 candidates rushed over to the stadium, and the stadium was jampacked to its capacity during the written test.
According to the sources, the service of 150 students was taken from Kyber Medical University and 100 students were taken from Quaid Azam University to check over 30,000 papers. Vehicles were arranged by the police to pick up and drop off the students.
The papers were checked at the auditorium of the National Police Academy from 11 am to 7 pm. Lunch was also provided to the students. A key was given to each student to check the paper. The written paper comprises 70 percent objective and 30 percent subjective. In the subjective part, there are two questions included.
Over 30,000 candidates appeared for the written test against the 1667 vacant seats of Constables in Capital police. In light of the marks obtained by the candidates , first 5001 will be called for an interview( ratio of 3 candidates against 1 seat).
After the interview , the final list of 1667 successful candidates will pe prepared and announced. Earlier a committee was formed for recruitment against th 1667 seats which worked under tremnedous pressure.
Final announcement of the successful candidates will be with signature of the Assistant Inspector General of Police. On December 29 , the AIG establishment who also has the addittional charge of SSP Logistics was all of sudden transferred by IGP Akbar Nasir Khan and the most junior officer was appointed in his place.
