Sindh Education Department Announces New School Timings in Province. According to the notification issued by Sindh School Education and Literacy Department, all privately managed schools in the province will open from 8:30 a.m. with immediate effect.

According to the notification, it is mentioned that as per the decision of the steering committee of the Education & Literacy Department Government of Sindh, taken on 7th April 2022, and in view of the prevailing waves of severe cold in the province, all privately managed schools in the Sindh Province shall function from 8:30 a.m.

The said timing shall remain operative till 31 March 2023. This decision may be strictly followed. The decision is taken in view of the current cold wave in the entire Province. All Government Schools in the Province already following the same timings. The objective of the decision is to prevent the students from the cold.

Sindh School timing has been changed due to the severe cold wave

The entire country is under a severe cold wave, earlier at the start of this month, Islamabad public and private schools also changed the school timing which will remain in effect until further notice. According to the new timing single shift institute operate from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on Monday to Thursday and on Friday, they will close at 12:30 pm.

In double-shift institutes, the morning shift will start at 8:30 am to 1:30 pm and the second shift from 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Federal Directorate of Education and Punjab School Education Department also allowed the students to wear any sweater, blazer, coat, jacket, cap, socks, or shoes to stay warm and safe from the cold weather.
