Heavy rains hit the United Arab Emirates ( UAE) in recent days. Due to heavy rain remote learning announced in two emirates of the UAE. The move is taken to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
UAE consists of Seven states which are Dubai, Abudhabi, Sharjah, Alain, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umul Quwain. Remote learning is announced in some schools of Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. These two states are surrounded by mountains. Whenever heavy rain hit the UAE, these two emirates hit a lot.
According to this decision Students of government schools in Ras Al Khaimah will have remote learning due to the heavy rain and unstable weather. Students will learn from home only on the 26th & 27th of January ( Thursday & Friday).
Fujairah also announced remote learning in all government schools on Thursday and Friday (the 26th & 27th of January) due to bad weather and heavy rain. Sharjah earlier today private and public schools in Sharjah Kalba city dispersed the students at 12 pm due to the unstable weather and heavy rain.
Fields trips which are scheduleded on Thrusday and Friday also cancelled. The school administration sent emails and text messages to the parents about the cancellation of trips due to bad weather conditions.
In North emirates Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah police increased the patrolling near the beaches and valleys for the safety of the citizens.
The Fujairah Civil Defence Department shared six measures for motorists that they shouldm ust follow while driving during heavy rains.
- Check weather forecasts from official sources before driving.
- Inspect the vehicle tires, wipers, and all other conditions before hitting the road.
- Drive with caution and at an appropriate speed.
- Stay away from water pools, beaches, and valleys.
- If not necessary do not drive during rain.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported thunderstorms, heavy rain, and hail in several parts of the Country. The unstable weather is forecasted to persist until Friday.
