In District Education Authority ( DEA) meeting presided over by Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) Dr. Tariq Qazi, attended by the Chairman of All – Pakistan Private Schools Management Authority ( APSMA) and other authorities, DEA finally accepted the accreditation of 85 additional private schools in Rawalpindi.

This development occurred after a two-year delay. The DEA authorizes private schools to begin admitting new students. During the past two years, the renewal of over 30,000 existing schools and 186 new private schools was pending.

Next month, on March 1, another meeting will be held to authorize more private schools to start admissions. Furthermore, DAE will convene weekly meetings to deal with pending applications for private school registration and renewal.
