Punjab Govt Extended Winter Vacations for all schools in Punjab

The government of the Punjab School Education Department has extended the winter vacations for all schools in Punjab till 8 January 2022. All Public and Private schools in Punjab will remain closed for winter break. This winter break starts on 24th December 2022.

Before this official notification winter break was up to 1st January 2023 but now due to the weather situation Govt has decided to extend winter vacations in schools till 8th January 2023. All schools will reopen on 9th January 2023 with the same routine and hours.

The notification says that In pursuance of the directions by the Hon’ble Lahore High Court Lahore in writ petition No. 227807 / 2018 dated 27th December 2022. it is hereby notified that winter vacations in all Public and Private Schools in the province of Punjab are extended w.e.f 02.01.2022 to 08.01.2022.

All Schools (Public and Private) shall re-open on Monday. 9′” January 2023 resuming a full/normal week for all classes. However, the restrictions regarding the wearing of Face Masks within school premises shall remain intact.
