KP Govt Education Cards Benefits to 244,000 Students

Kyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Chief Minister Mehmood Khan said that education cards would benefit 244000 students who are enrolled in the govt colleges. The education card scheme includes the waiver of the entire tuition fee and it would cost Rs.1 billion to the Provincial Government.

CM said that the Education card was a unique project of the KP Government and it encourages the students to higher education in the province.

Most students belong to the middle class and due to heavy college fees, they are not getting higher education. This step is unique and it restored the trust of the public in the govt institutions.

He clarified that numerous steps had been taken to ensure that the educational institutions in the province were made fully functional. In this regard, 76 colleges had been upgraded and 37 new colleges established in the Province.

The establishment of the Pak -Austria Fachhochschule institute of applied sciences and technology at Haripur is another milestone achievement by the Provincial Government.
