Important announcement by CM Punjab Usman Buzdar for South Punjab Jobs Quota of 32% has been announced by Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar through his official Twitter account. This is a milestone step towards the progress and prosperity of South Punjab.

according to the Policy when Government Sector jobs are announced seats are contributed according to Quota. if the Punjab Government Jobs announced by Punjab Government then some seats are specific to South Punjab and some for Central Punjab and etc. Before this announcement, South Punjab quota was less than 32%.

This decision of increasing the Quota to 32% will help the youth of South Punjab to get more jobs in the Punjab Government. Now the youth of South Punjab will get a 32% quota in the Punjab Government Jobs. The Punjab cabinet on Tuesday approved to reserve a 32 percent job quota for the population of South Punjab province through an amendment in the Punjab Civil Servants Act of 1974.

The cabinet committee headed by the Finance Minister of Punjab finalized the draft for approval of an increase in Quota to 32% for South Punjab. Some members in the cabinet meeting also suggested allowing three attempts to the candidates appearing for the Punjab Public Service Commission instead of the existing one.

South Punjab part of Pakistan is the most deprived region of Punjab. A recent report prepared by UNDP reveals that South Punjab has one of the worst social indicators in the country. Poor sanitation system, child labor, child marriage in early ages, and poor poverty rates reflect the region’s deplorable state and necessitate immediate action from the government.
