Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Appointed as VC of Allama Iqbal Open University AIOU

The Federal Education and Professional Training Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain have been appointed as VC of Allama Iqbal Open University AIOU.

In this regards the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training MOFEPT has issued an official notification stating that the Federal Education Minister will take charge as a Vice Chancellor from 23 November 2022. Rana Tanveer will serve as VC until a regular VC of the university is appointed.

In the month of September, the Education Ministry announced the vacant positions of Vice Chancellors and Rector. There are two Vice Chancellors and one Rector position vacant. VC’s positions are vacant at Quaid – e- Azam University and Allama Iqbal Open University while the Rector position is vacant at International Islamic University IIU Islamabad in IIU which will be filled according to the legal procedure and terms.

Moreover, earlier Rana Tanveer attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new regional AIOU campus equipped with the latest internet facilities in Gwadar. Gwadar is the southern Balochistan capital and hub of the CPEC. this is the 54th regional campus of the AIOU in the Country.
