Eid ul Fitr Holidays 2024 Official Notification

In the recent update Govt of Pakistan has issued official notification for Eid ul Fitr Holidays from 10 April 2024 to 13 April 2024. So there are 4 holidays on this eid. According to media reports, in light of the information from the Meteorological Department, Pakistanis are likely to enjoy four holidays for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Official Notification of Eid Holidays 2024

The media channel mentioned that Eidul Fitr is expected to fall around April 10. The 15th April 2024 will be the working day after Eid holidays 2024.

According to the calendar introduced by Chaudhary, Muslims throughout the country are set to observe 29 fasts this year, indicating that Eidul Fitr will be celebrated nationwide on April 10. Traditionally, Eid holidays commence a day earlier than the anticipated date to accommodate preparations and festivities.

If the government declares a four-day holiday starting from April 10 Wednesday to April 12 (Friday), and considering the usual weekend holidays on Saturday and Sunday observed by both government and some private offices, it would tally up to a total of six holidays.

The final decision regarding the holiday schedule will be determined after consultations with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and other pertinent departments.

On the other hand, as per the list of holidays issued by the Cabinet Division a few weeks back, Eidul Fitr holidays have been slated from April 10 to April 13. If this schedule remains unaltered, then Pakistanis will have five holidays in total.
