Why Intermediate 12th Class Exams were not Conducted

Exams of Intermediate 12th class were scheduled in the month of May and June. But at the start of the year 2020 World faced a global pandemic called COVID-19. This disease affected the whole World and every sector belong to humans was suspended. In Pakistan month of February, the first victim of COVID-19 was reported, and then in a short span of time, it spread in the whole country. Due to the rapid growth of this Virus Pakistan also followed the global strategy against this virus and locked down all sectors. Education institutions also closed until normal routine. That’s why the Government canceled the 12th class exams according to SOP’s.

Implementation of Promotion policy 2020

The government announced Promotion Policy 2020 and promoted all 12th class students. According to this promotion policy students in 2nd year will get double marks of their 1st-year marks. For example, Mr. Bilal’s 1st-year marks are 400 & now he will get 800 as his theory marks. Practical marks for relevant subjects will calculate by below given procedure.

Bilal will get 50% practical marks as fixed marks and 50% marks of practical will be calculated on his theory marks. For example, his marks in Chemistry are 70% then he will get 70% marks of 50% marks of his practical and plus 50% marks as fixed.
